Semi-Custom

Atlas Boatworks is a semi-custom boat builder. That means that we build the hull, center console, and livewell/leaning post the same every time. Basically, we build a solid platform and then work with you every step of the way as you gussy it up any way you want.

That being said, we are also a customer-first organization. We are happy to entertain any and all ideas that you want to throw our way. We probably won’t turn the hull into a catamaran, but if you want it built without a livewell or something similar, we are all ears. No judgment here. If you want to use that old trolling motor that’s been sitting in your garage for a decade or a Garmin that you got on a Black Friday deal, we’ll work with you to make it happen.

The Build Process

Start here by requesting a quote.

When you submit a quote request, we will reach out to get any additional info we may need to build you a solid quote. After that, it’s up to you to decide if you want to move forward. You won’t be dropped into a hard-sale marketing cycle; ain’t nobody got time for that!

We know these are often used just to see if we are both in the same ballpark from a pricing standpoint. Given the custom nature of what we do, it is hard to have a generic form give a realistic quote. So, to address the ballpark question, our standard hulls start around $60k. Boat, motor, and trailer packages start in the mid-$70k’s. Obviously, adding or deleting options can take that up or down.

If you aren’t quite ready for us to reach out, then you can stay connected by checking out our blog and following us on Instagram or Facebook.

If you are ready to build, here is what the process generally looks like:

  • After you submit your quote request we will schedule a time to have a call and dig into how you are going to use the boat and any special requests you may have. During this call, we will confirm all of your design choices and make recommendations. As we talk, we will work down a shared Google Sheet together. This Google Sheet will become your final build sheet and will become a part of our Purchase Agreement.
  • Following the call, we will dial in the final cost for any outstanding items and the estimated timeline.
  • The build sheet, pricing, and timeline will be included in a purchase agreement that will be signed by both of us. That signed agreement and a 50% deposit are what confirm your build spot and put your hull in the queue to be built.
  • We build the boat and send you weekly build updates.
  • If any changes are made along the way, we will send you a change order that will document the change, the difference in cost, if any, and any effects on the timeline. We will both sign that change order before the changes are made.
  • The remaining 50% is due before delivery.
  • You love the boat and tell all your friends
