Adding Value
In this post, we continue our series on building the 2024 Atlas Boatworks demo boat. We’re covering the owner’s manual that accompanies your Atlas Boatworks 23F center console fishing boat. If you missed any of the previous posts, you can find them here on our blog.
Many jokes revolve around the expense of owning a boat. We want to ensure you’re not part of that punchline. At Atlas Boatworks, we aim to construct a simple yet functional boat, empowering owners, should they choose, to handle much of the maintenance themselves. One way we support this is by providing each owner with an atlas for their Atlas.
This binder serves as an owner’s manual on steroids. We construct it alongside your boat, tailoring it to all the features and accessories you’ve selected. As we install each new item on your boat, we include its owner’s manual in your binder, document the wiring diagram, and log the part numbers. For instance, if you choose a Power Pole, you’ll not only have the model number of the Power Pole itself but also of the mounting bracket, wireless adapter, and circuit breaker. It provides unfettered access.
This owner’s manual covers every part of your boat. It covers all of the electronics, including wiring diagrams for each circuit.
It covers every system on your boat from the livewell to the steering to the bilge pump. Part numbers, wire routing, and hose locations are all included.
It captures vital information that is beneficial to have all in one place like Serial Numbers, gelcoat colors, and VIN’s.
Samples
Check out some examples and a quick video walkthrough as we were building the atlas for our 2024 Atlas Boatworks 23F demo boat.
Real life examples
Sure, most things come with an Owner’s Manual, but what does it look like in real life? Check out some actual examples below:
- Want to add more rod holders in the gunwale? We’ve included the part number so you can match them.
- Something got stolen off your boat (Fingers crossed- hopefully not)? You can find the VIN number for your trailer, the Serial Number for your engine, and the HIN for your hull in your Atlas.
- Lose the plug for your boat? We’ve included the make and model so you can order a new one.
- Get some scratches in your gelcoat from getting blown into a barnacle-covered bridge piling (Totally hypothetical, of course)? Check your atlas for the gelcoat color so your shop can color-match it.
It’s all in there and all specific to your boat. It’s just one of the advantages of going custom with Atlas Boatworks.
