Best Instagram Accounts for Boaters
As I write this, I am literally watching snowflakes slowly meander down from a featureless grey sky to the grass on my front lawn. We don’t get a lot of snow here in Chapel Hill, NC where Atlas Boatworks is based, but we get enough of a winter to keep the boating to a minimum in the winter months. It can make the winter long and leave us longing for warmer days.

The Qualified Captain chronicles everything that can go wrong in the boating world. Runaway boats, boat ramp backing debacles, groundings, and more are all covered here. Sometimes it is educational and sometimes it is infuriating, but it is always entertaining.
I used to comb the classifieds of our local newspaper, The Bonita Banner, when I was growing up looking for fixer-upper boats. Now they just get delivered to my feed by Dock Deals. Browsers unite!
I feel like Haulover Inlet in Miami gets way more attention than it should. That doesn’t mean we don’t watch, though. You can watch as boats get owned by the steep waves and heavy boat traffic. It can be a little cringy. If that’s your thing, you’ll love it.
